ThreeA - Popbot : Tomorrow King Ronin Oya Sun.

I wasn't born to follow
I live just for today
I don't care about tomorrow
What I got in my head
You can't buy, steal or borrow
I believe in life and let live
I believe you get what you give

1995. At one of the shanty towns somewhere in the Loess Plateau, Eastasia Empire. The villagers gathered to watch a contest of swordsmanship between two individuals. One of the swordsmen, Ma Wing Song, is a member of the Xibei San Ma mercenary group, and well recognise from Shanxi provinces to Ningxia Hui Protectorates for his incredible mastery of swordsmanship. He has reportedly defeated and killed at least 200 lives within a year from the time he picks up the art of the sword at the age of sixteen. Another is mysterious stranger, a traveller whom has wandered into the town for a rest and maybe a quick meal. He looks old and haggard. Ma has been engaged for his service on behalf of Viceroy Gao Qiu. 'I shouldn't have come,' the stranger said. 'Too late to back out now,' Ma replied. 'May I leave a hand?' the stranger seemingly offered. 'Ha. If you want to leave a hand, leave your life instead!' Ma said and in a lightning speed movement, drawn his sword, scabbard still suspends in the air. Within three steps, Ma thrusts the tip of his blade a mere millimetre away from piercing through the stranger's heart. With a superhuman reflex, blurry in the eyes of the village spectators, the older swordsman merely side-stepped to avoid Ma's killing strike. With a graceful swirl, he delivers a deep, precision horizontal slash with one of his swords across the back of Ma's neck, spine half-severed. 'You misunderstood me. When I said I shouldn't have come here, I meant you're not a worthy opponent. I wanted you to leave your hand, but you insisted on leaving your live instead,' the stranger said in a monotonous tone. Before death claims Ma, he could hear the bloods spurting from his neck. It curiously sounds like the pleasing resonance of a breezing wind. The Viceroy had wanted the neutron bomb the wanderer is carrying by sending his armed garrison to kill him but was annihilated in its entirety.
The stranger is actually an excommunicated shateigashira TK, designate Sun, who is tasked with a critical mission to prevent the extinction of the gynoid clones. He carries a SUP 03 class neutron bomb codename "Drop 6229". Inside contains the progenoid glands of the TKs and TQs. His brothers and sisters. Luthor released Sun from service, re-designating him as a Ronin TK, in a desperate move to save his beloved creations. With the irreversible and imminent failure of the DNA Organ machine, the progenoid glands harvested from fallen TKs and TQs are all that is left to cultivate the gene seeds from the DNA cells contain within. Escaping Leviathan I via a lifeboat, Sun, together with two other clones, Moon and Snow Blizzard, lands on the coast off Eastasia Empire under camo signal to protect them from the SOL Defence Satellites, making their way towards Albion City, Europa Union to meet up with Lady Sham for the ultimate purpose to ensure the legacy of the replicants are intact as well as to raise a new generation of these superhuman army to reverse Queen Mortis's Ten Years of Darkness reign in the Leviathan 1. Through a series of incidences, the trio got separated from each other during their journey to the west.
Sun is programmed within his gene seed with a special sword technique known as the "Nine Swords of the Loner", which Luthor Bean Jr. is inspired, and taken the name from a popular wuxia novel by a famous Eastasian author. This form of swordplay has nine forms, each of which can be used to defeat and overcome a certain type of attack. It is based on the principle of "no pattern can follow any other pattern". One is unable to predict (and counter correspondingly) a move which does not follow any pattern or sequence. Theoretically, the forms of the Nine Swords of the Loner do not follow any fixed sequence or pattern and hence the moves are all unpredictable. Combined with his status as a Panzer Kunstler, Sun is near invincible against any opponents on Terra. And freed from the neural mapping programme, Sun develops his own behaviour and personality. Somehow his mental strength is strong enough to prevent himself from suffering insanity due to the emergence of his host's memory colliding with the implanted one, which is one of the factors suspected to eventually lead to the onset of Interloper mutation.
As an experimental model, Sun does not have four years limited lifespan. It is unknown how long Sun would live, but Luthor once hinted that it could be eternal, whether literally or metaphorically (as Sun's gene seed could be replicated countless times as part of the replication process). After facing a series of obstacles and challenges, Sun successfully delivered the progenoid gland to Lady Sham. Like Moon, the fate of Sun is ambiguous. It is mentioned at one point that he faced Snow Blizzard, whom had gone rogue and rampaging across the Central Plains after succumbing to the Interloper mutation, in a duel at the Himalayan range which Sun won. In 2001, at New Andria, a mysterious but formidable swordsman known only as "The Defeat Seeking Loner", supposedly joined the Adventure Kartel Collective in their battles against the Zomb Horde, whom is suspected to be Sun himself, by then suffers from solitude and haunts by the fact that no one could defeat or equal him in swordplay.

.................................................

TK Sun is 3A Bambaland version of BBiCN ACG Expo exclusive TK Moon. This is also the first TK for the "wave 2" of TKlub offer, of which after four figures, can redeem for the original TQ. Known as Outerverse Ronin TK, Sun sports a different gear, hazmat suit-like coat as oppose to Moon, which is more in line with the one Merde Mission comes with. I suppose Moon is darker in colour-way but I am not sure of course. Sun comes with additional accessory in the form of a bomb, and lots of grenades. Lots of it. And the three swords which is identical to TK Cornelius, plus new shoes. The artwork depicts him dragging the bomb around. The surprise, random drop variant of the day is Snow Blind, which is, well, whitey beige and sans the beard and moustache, but with an additional girl sketch on the bomb (which I seem to like more). Comes with the so-called "old school box", which comes covered with a sticker (irritating as I need to cut through, thus spoiling the box cover's artwork) and a poster. I would not delve further into the articulation and colourway as it is as per 3A standard but the one in my hand again suffered from the same issue as AK line Potato Commander. One of the arm came off but after the faint spell subsided, I took off the coat and luckily, the joint is not the primary ones and re-attachable with a little applicable of good old glue. The headsculpt is a precedent - very haggard looking with sculpted facial hair, a first since the last TK I seen with facial hair, albeit painted ones, is the hilarious but high on my want list TK Yama (which, hopefully with Naga, cross my fingers, might get a re-release). Written as fan fiction of the TK worlds under the Popbot line, as usual, since I zero knowledge about their official background stories, if any, I think of Sun, which is an Oyabun by the way, as a TK which carries the last batch of gene-seeds (derive from the WH40K universe). I searched my mind further and suddenly after watching an episode of a re-run of one of TVB's adaptation of the Condor Trilogy by Louis Cha aka Jin Yong (金庸), I took one of the character, The Defeat Seeking Loner and one of his swordplay, the Nine Swords of the Loner as TK Sun's ability. Fuelled further, I recalled Wong Kar Wai's 1994 Ashes of Time (東邪西毒), a particular scene depicting a duel between the Blind Swordsman and his challenger, and their conversation. Gao Qiu is one of the antagonists from Outlaws of the Marsh (水滸傳). Apart from that, of course, Ridley Scott's 1982 Bladerunner Replicant specs as usual.
